Whitestown Fire Department is currently accepting applications from experienced officers for the position of Battalion Chief. Applicants will be credited up to 10 years of service in longevity and vacation, based on current service history.

Lateral transfers will be accepted within the ‘77 PERF, but not required.

      All applicants must:

  • Be Indiana Firefighter I/II certified

  • Be Indiana Fire Officer I certified

  • Be a State of Indiana Certified EMT-B or EMT-P

  • All applicants will be required to complete the WFD Work Performance Evaluation prior to appointment (similar to CPAT)

  • Applicant must have served a minimum of the last 5 years as a promoted officer with a career fire department

The WFD offers a full Kelly day, competitive time off and benefits, paramedic stipend, longevity pay, college tuition reimbursement, and additional stipend opportunities.
