Whitestown Fire Department is currently accepting applications for the Lateral Transfer of Firefighter/EMT and Firefighter/Paramedic.
All applicants must:
Be a current member of the 1977 Police Officers and Firefighters Pension Fund.
Have graduated from high school or have attained a GED or equivalent
Hold a valid driver’s license
Be Indiana Firefighter I/II certified
Be a State of Indiana Certified EMT-B or EMT-P
All applicants will be required to complete the WFD Work Performance Evaluation (similar to CPAT)
Applicant must be currently employed with a career fire department for a minimum of 3 years
Successful candidate will be compensated at the current equivalent salary and time off benefit per years of experience up to 5 years max. The WFD offers a full Kelly day, competitive time off and benefits, paramedic stipend, longevity pay, college tuition reimbursement, and additional stipend opportunities.

Run volume has increased at a rate of 55% over the past 5 years and will continue to grow at increased rates in the coming years.
